Why we were down for a while
Thu, 06/18/2009 - 12:43 — MelfordWe were down for an extended period of time because of a glitch in upgrading our software. All issues have been resolved and we are back up for the time being. A couple of the issues required shutting off functionality that you may have discovered but nothing that we announced. A couple of the others are temporarily patched and will require a final fix that may require us to be down again for some time. We will give advance notice, and for that time, the DNS will point to another location on the server that is just a blank page, or maybe with a small note.

The Basic Idea
Tue, 03/10/2009 - 20:33 — MelfordA Home in the Heavens is an idea I have been kicking around for a while. Basically, it is similar in the basic concept to the fairly well known x-prize. However, it departs in many respects and is unique in its approach.
The fundamental underpinnings for the Project are to create Financial Incentives for the Colonization of Space. Basically, we will accumulate resources to eventually liquidate for the sole benefit of the first independent and self sufficient colony that is viable and sustainable.
